ABOUT THE BAND:
The Grouvin Brothers embrace the roots of Americana, playing country, blues, and swing of the early 1950s and 60s as well as newer and original songs that emulate the classic honky-tonk roadhouse era, with an emphasis on two-part vocal harmonies, reminiscent of the Louvin Brothers from whom the band takes its name.
The band is composed of Tim Haub (guitar, mandolin, vocals), Doug DeRosa (string bass, guitar, vocals), with Frankie Lee (harmonica, vocals), and Kenny Koeppler (drums, vocals). All are established members of the Madison music scene, playing with bands such as Honor Among Thieves, Paul Black & the Flip Kings, John Chimes & the Natch'l Blues band, Don't Spook the Horse, among others; each bringing their own voice and musical influences to create a lively mix of vintage American music.
