Join Four Winds Farm’s resident beekeeper, Greg Vorontsov, as he leads a workshop discussing beekeeping in horizontal hives in Dane Co., Wisconsin
Topics include:
- Selection and construction or equipment
- Four beekeeping seasons as managed in horizontal hives
- Theory and Practice (what they say & what it really is)
- A Live hive inspection (weather permitting)
*Fee: $37 (includes tax & beekeeper’s hat and veil)
*Space is limited. Due to high demand and limited capacity, refunds will only be issued on a case-by-case basis.
*Participants must sign a waiver of liability as they will be around live bees.
*No one who has a demonstrated allergy to bee stings may participate in this workshop.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Greg is a hobby beekeeper who has an interest in ergonomic hives for both bees and beekeepers with an emphasis on construction and management. He began working with bees at the age of 7, helping his Dad with the family bee hives. His hands-on education lasted until he went away to college - taking a very long break to do other things. About 7 years ago, he happened upon the website horizontalhive.com by Leo Sharashkin and became hooked again. He does not own a single Langstroth hive.
